Mishkanava: "Beloved Sanctuary"

Mishkanava, "beloved sanctuary" in Hebrew, is the name of the home of Babalon and the Beast. Mishkanava is designed to be a refuge from this larger world of tyrannies, lies and manipulations -- a safe haven of Thelema, where individuality is held in high esteem and uniqueness and diversity are cherished. Mishkanava is the silent pulsating core at the heart of the Millenial Mardi Gras concept, the former being the principle of the matter, and the latter being its bold expression.

If you have previously visited Our original Babalon and the Beast homepage, you already know that We have Our sights set upon New Orleans for the future location of Our Mishkanava. Say, which of these jewels do you think would make a proper homestead for the First Couple of the Astral Realm?

576 Audobon Street 842 Crystal Street

2212 Palmer Avenue

830 St. Peter Street 5324 Dryades Prvm Street
4231 Vendome Prvm Place

(*Sigh*) Aren't they gorgeous? Well, they are all out of Our price range at the moment (*blush*), but that's what dreaming is all about: reaching for things that reality currently denies, in the hope of persuading reality's hand to yield them.

4411 St. Roch Avenue 75 Versailles Street
These two We can almost touch. The one on the right comes closest to being affordable. Almost, but not quite. We'd still need a little help from friends and allies of the Millenial Mardi Gras project to even consider purchasing either of these two.

Of course, if worse comes to worst ...
It's Different! ... We could always coil up temporarily in something little like this. Isn't this just too cute? This one's going for pocket change (as far as real estate prices go). Why, We could snap it up without a second thought, and have it in reserve for future use once We located the permanent place. Trouble is, it's just too cute for this bargain price. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else has snagged it already.

There's plenty of adequate homes to be found in Our price range in New Orleans. Trouble is, they are all just typical suburban fare. None of them have that distinctive "N'awlins" flavor like these beauties. Babalon and the Beast certainly are *not* going to go through all the time, effort and energy of moving 1500 miles away just to grab a homestead which looks like something anyone could get in Anywhere, U.S.A.! Guess for now, We just keep lookin'.

In fairness for having used these images without asking permission, I feel it is only right to include a link to the real estate listings where these beauties were found. This is not intended as any sort of endorsement for Prudential or their services, although I will note that they have the best online real estate sites that I have seen. Note that most, though not all, of these gems are listed by agent E. Wallen.
